Hobbs has already endured more hardship than most dogs ever should. He was found living among numerous dogs with two broken back legs, somehow surviving despite the pain. One leg healed on its own, while the other required surgery to give him the second chance he deserved. For the past two months, Hobbs has spent much of his time on crate rest while recovering, and through it all he has remained determined, resilient, and full of personality. He's incredibly smart-sometimes a little too smart-and definitely has a stubborn streak that will make you laugh. He loves to use his voice, especially if there's something outside that needs investigating, and he approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm. Hobbs does best with simple routines, including enjoying his meals separately from other pets. It's an easy management step that helps him feel comfortable and confident. He needs a home where he can finally stretch his legs, sniff every corner of the yard, and leave the long days of recovery behind him. What Hobbs has been waiting for isn't just healed legs-it's someone willing to see beyond his past and love the remarkable dog he's become. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a resilient spirit, a big heart, and plenty of character, Hobbs is ready to write the happiest chapter of his story with you. Medical Notes: Hobbs came into rescue with two broken back legs. One healed on its own, and he recently underwent surgical repair (FHO) on the other. He is recovering well but will need continued care as he regains his strength. Destructive: Only if left crated for long periods or when extremely bored Needs a home with a yard: Yes Needs a home with another dog: No, he would likely thrive as the only dog in the home Can live in an apartment: No Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
