My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Gimbugak Age: About 5.5 Months Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo – Corgi Mix Color: White Weight: 6kg / 13lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was one of five puppies rescued with my brave mom from an industrial area. Despite having lost one of her legs, my mom did everything she could to keep us safe until help arrived. Thanks to our rescue, we were all given the chance to grow up surrounded by love and care. Now I'm excited to begin my own journey and find a forever family to share a lifetime of happiness with.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Gimbugak! I'm a tiny little pup with adorable short legs, the cutest wiggly body, and a gentle heart that's growing braver every day. I used to be one of the shyest puppies around, quickly running to hide whenever someone new appeared. Thanks to lots of love and socialization, I've been making wonderful progress and am becoming a much more confident young dog. I still need a little time with new people, and I may keep my distance at first, but once I know you're kind, I'll happily accept treats, gentle pets, and start showing you my sweet personality. Speaking of treats... they're definitely the fastest way to my heart! If you stop handing them out, I might gently leave a few adorable little nose boops to remind you that I wouldn't mind another one. I may need a patient family who understands that trust takes time, but I promise every small step forward will be incredibly rewarding. If you're looking for a lovable little underdog who will blossom into a loyal best friend, I'd love the chance to grow by your side.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but treats are a wonderful way to win me over! I'll happily accept a snack from a new friend and begin building trust. Depending on the situation, I may warm up quickly and enjoy gentle pets, or I may prefer a little extra time before I'm ready to be touched. Once I feel safe and we've become friends, my affectionate side really shines—I love leaning in for attention, and I'll even roll over to show you my belly as a special sign of trust. I'm also comfortable being gently picked up, making it easy to care for and cuddle me. · With Dogs: I love making new dog friends! Whether we've known each other for a long time or we're meeting for the very first time, I'm always happy to walk over, say hello, and invite them to play. I especially enjoy the company of dogs around my own size or smaller, and my friendly, social personality helps me build positive relationships with my dog companions. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown but even when I spot a cat during a walk, I prefer to stay focused on my person rather than chase after it.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring and going for walks. After I've had some exercise and fresh air, I'm happy to settle down and relax by your side. I'm a walker with excellent leash manners, so I stay close to my person, walk without pulling, and naturally enjoy following wherever our adventures take us.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm easygoing when it comes to mealtime and don't feel the need to guard my food from people or other dogs. I form very strong bonds with my people and can find it difficult when we're apart, so I'll do best with a family that can help me gradually build confidence when I'm alone. If there's something I really want, I might let you know with a little bark—it's just my way of communicating! I'm calm and relaxed in my kennel I'm flexible with my potty habits, happily using both indoor pee pads and going outside for bathroom breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I form very strong bonds with my people and can find it difficult when we're apart, so I'll do best with a family that can help me gradually build confidence when I'm alone. I would do best with a family committed to continuing my training. We highly recommend working with a qualified positive reinforcement trainer to help me build confidence and set me up for long-term success.    GIMBUGAK'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2786859##
