My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Bali Age: About 2 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown and White Weight: 17kg / 37.4lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the euthanasia list at a municipal shelter, and that moment gave me a second chance at life. Thanks to the kindness and compassion of my rescuers, I now have the opportunity to look ahead to a brighter future. I'm ready to leave my past behind and begin a new journey with a loving family to call my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Bali! I'm a gentle, sweet-natured boy with a soft heart and a beautiful spirit. I can be a bit shy when meeting new people, and I prefer to take my time building trust. But once I feel safe, I'm incredibly affectionate and devoted. During my time in foster care, I formed a wonderful bond with my caregivers and showed just how loving and loyal I can be. I used to avoid visitors, but with patience and positive experiences, I've become much more comfortable meeting new people and learning that strangers can become friends too. One thing that comes naturally to me is getting along with other dogs. I enjoy their company and have wonderful manners, making me a great companion in a multi-dog home. Beneath my slightly cautious exterior is a sweet boy who simply needs a little time to let his heart shine. If you're willing to be patient with me in the beginning, I'll reward you with a lifetime of love, trust, and companionship. I can't wait to meet the person who will help me write the next chapter of my story.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but treats are a great way to win me over! I'll happily accept snacks and start building trust right away. While I may need a little extra time before I'm comfortable with pets, once I get to know you, my sweet and affectionate personality begins to shine. When I truly feel safe, I'll even roll over and show you my belly—a special sign of trust. I generally feel more comfortable around women and may be a bit more cautious around men at first, but patience and kindness help me gain confidence. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so I'm still looking forward to discovering what they're like. · With Dogs: I love making new dog friends! Whether we've known each other for a long time or we're meeting for the very first time, I'm always happy to walk over, say hello, and invite them to play. I tend to get along especially well with dogs around my own size and enjoy having dog friends to spend time with. If another dog tries to provoke me, I'm more likely to walk away and avoid conflict than engage in an argument. I also take a lot of comfort from having other dogs around, and their presence helps me feel more confident, relaxed, and secure. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring and going for walks. After I've had some exercise and fresh air, I'm happy to settle down and relax by your side. I'm an experienced walker with good leash manners, so I stay close to my person, follow well, and enjoy our adventures together without pulling on the leash.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm easygoing when it comes to mealtime and don't feel the need to guard my food from people or other dogs. When I see unfamiliar people, I may bark at first because I'm letting you know that I'm unsure, but with a little time and a gentle introduction, I can become more comfortable. I'm calm and well-behaved in my kennel I'm flexible with my potty habits, comfortably using both indoor pee pads and going outside for bathroom breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES When I was very young, I came into the shelter with a broken leg and needed surgery. Because my growth plate was affected, one of my legs ended up a little shorter than the other. It doesn't slow me down or affect my daily life, but it does make me a little unique—just one more thing that makes me, me. I tend to feel more comfortable around women and usually warm up to them quickly. Men can seem a little intimidating to me at first, so I may need some extra time, patience, and gentle introductions before I feel fully at ease. Once I learn that I'm safe, I can build trust and form wonderful bonds. I find a lot of comfort in the company of other dogs and tend to feel more confident when I have a friend by my side. Having another dog around helps me feel safe, relaxed, and secure, and I often look to my furry companions for reassurance in new situations.    BALI'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2772846##
