My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Mint Age: Born in 2025 October 23. 8 months old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Corgi mix Color: Ivory Weight: 13kg / 28.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My mother was rescued from a severely neglected and abusive situation before I was born. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought her to safety, where she later gave birth to me and my siblings at the care facility. Because of her rescue, we were given the chance to grow up safe, loved, and cared for. Now, I'm ready to find a forever family of my very own and start the next chapter of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I'm a sweet and gentle girl who is still learning about the world. Because I didn't have much early socialization, new environments can feel a little overwhelming at first, and I may need some time to adjust and build confidence. With patience and kindness, my true personality begins to shine. The volunteers and staff who know me best have seen just how affectionate and loving I can be. Once I trust you, I enjoy being close to my people and thrive with gentle guidance and encouragement. I also have the cutest smile ever! Staff often tell me that my smile can brighten anyone's day. During my profile photoshoot, I did very well and happily accepted pets, cuddles, and attention. With a little patience in the beginning, I know I'll blossom into a wonderful and loving girl.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm a little shy when meeting new people, but I'll happily take treats gently from your hand while I get to know you. I may need a bit of time before I'm fully comfortable with affection, but I promise I'm worth the wait. Once I feel safe, my sweet and affectionate personality shines through. I enjoy being close to my people, happily accept pets, and allow myself to be picked up. One of the biggest signs that I've come to trust you is when I roll over and show you my belly. I've already come a long way in building my confidence. During my profile photoshoot, I happily accepted pets, cuddles, and attention from the volunteers, showing just how much progress I've made. With a little patience in the beginning, you'll discover a loving girl with so much affection to give. · With Dogs: While I may be a little reserved around new people, I'm much more confident when it comes to making dog friends! I enjoy greeting new dogs and spending time socializing with my canine companions. I generally get along best with larger dogs and feel comfortable around them. Having dog friends around helps me feel more confident, and I enjoy learning from and spending time with other dogs. My friendly nature allows me to build positive relationships, and I'm always happy to make a new friend. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged upon request to help ensure the best match for everyone involved. During walks, I've shown curiosity when I notice cats, but I don't fixate on them and quickly continue on my way. This is a positive sign, though a formal cat assessment would provide a better understanding of how I would do in a home with feline friends.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate to higher energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring, playing, and having fun. Whether it's going for walks, discovering new places, or simply enjoying time outside, I'm always excited for an adventure. Once I've had a chance to burn off some energy and satisfy my curiosity, I'm more than happy to come inside and relax with my family. I have a nice balance of playful energy and downtime, making me a wonderful companion for both outdoor adventures and cozy evenings at home.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm still learning my leash manners and building confidence as I experience more of the world. Loud noises and unfamiliar situations can sometimes startle me, but I'm making progress every day and becoming more comfortable with new experiences. I would do best with a patient family who understands that I'm still learning and is willing to gently guide me along the way. I don't guard my food from people or other dogs and have good manners around mealtimes. I'm also a quiet girl who rarely barks. Car rides can make me feel a little nervous or carsick, so I'll appreciate extra reassurance, patience, and encouragement while I continue building positive associations. For potty habits, I can use both pee pads indoors and go potty outdoors. With consistency, kindness, and positive reinforcement, my confidence continues to grow, and I'm becoming a more confident and well-adjusted girl every day.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding that I’m still a young pup and will need continued guidance with socialization and basic obedience   SPECIAL NOTES I'm a sweet and gentle girl with so much potential. While I may be shy at first and need a little time to adjust, my confidence continues to grow every day. The people who know me best have seen just how affectionate and loving I can be once I build trust. I may not show my full personality right away, but I promise I'm worth the wait. With patience, understanding, and love, I'll blossom into a wonderful girl who loves being close to her people. I also happen to have one of the cutest smiles around! My adorable smile, paired with my cute little legs, never fails to make the staff and volunteers smile. Many people fall in love with me the moment they see my sweet expression. Watching me come out of my shell and grow in confidence will be one of the most rewarding parts of welcoming me into your family.   MINT'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2769328##
