My story

AGE: 4 yearsSEX: FemaleBREED: Bully MixENERGY LEVEL: MediumDOG FRIENDLY: Yep!CAT FRIENDLY?: NoKID FRIENDLY?: Yep! (older, dog-savvy kids)FOSTER IG: @honey.canineMeet Phoenix! This lovable girl is a goofy, affectionate cuddle bug with a big personality. Once she gets to know you, her silly and playful side really comes out, and tug is hands down her favourite game. She loves being close to her people and will happily spend her downtime curled up on the couch with you. She’s also a big fan of sniffing and taking her sweet time when she finds the perfect potty spot. Phoenix may be small and sweet, but she has plenty of passion and personality packed into one adorable package!Phoenix is a playful girl with a strong drive. She absolutely loves playing with the dogs in her home and would happily spend all day doing it if given the chance. She also gives playful cues to dogs on walks and generally wants to make friends, although she can react when another dog is rude or gets too close. She is generally good on leash and learns quickly, and her foster family has been focusing on building structure into play and strengthening her skills outside. She’s great in the car, settles quickly, and could likely handle a busy environment well - she’s comfortable walking on busier streets and hasn’t had issues with hallway noises or elevators. She watches small animals closely and may track them, but she doesn’t pull or chase.Phoenix can be timid and hesitant with new people and may take some time to warm up, particularly with men. Once she trusts you, however, she is incredibly loving and devoted. She has welcomed several guests into the home without issue when introductions are handled thoughtfully. She has also done very well with dogs and has had very few issues while with her experienced foster. Phoenix has occasionally barked and lunged when she feels threatened or pressured, and she has previously struggled with men in the home and guarding her space when uncomfortable. She is very responsive to correction and typically settles quickly, but her future family should have dog experience and be committed to continuing her training, confidence-building, and providing appropriate outlets for her strong drive. She is also still working on her house training and can have accidents in her crate, although she has no separation anxiety and can comfortably settle on her own for several hours. If you’re looking for a sweet, passionate, playful girl who will absolutely devote herself to her people once she knows she’s safe, Phoenix may be your perfect match!Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Phoenix?
