Foster Insights/backstory:Meet Hunny Bunny a name that fits her heart just as perfectly as her soft, soulful eyes.Hunny Bunnys story began before she was even six weeks old, when she and her siblings were pulled from a local shelter, part of a big litter that had to be split up just to survive. Tiny, confused, and far too young to understand the world, she was saved because someone believed her life mattered. She grew up in foster care, learning what safety felt like, learning that humans could be kind, and that love could be consistent. When circumstances changed and she needed a new place to land, she came into her current foster home and quietly showed exactly who she is a loyal shadow, a gentle soul, and a dog whose greatest joy is simply being close to her people. At two years old and 67 pounds, this beautiful black-and-tan German Shepherd mix is the perfect blend of playful and tender. She loves to run and play in a big fenced yard with her siblings, but what she really craves is human connection. Hunny Bunny will happily follow you from room to room, soaking up every bit of attention she can get, as if shes making up for the days when life felt uncertain. She may be a little shy at first, but give her a moment and she melts right into you, leaning in with quiet trust and unconditional love.Shes house trained, crate trained, rides beautifully in the car, and walks fairly well on leash despite not having a ton of experience yet. She isnt destructive, isnt food aggressive, and isnt much of a barker. She does best with a secure fenced yard and another dog to play with, since shes grown up surrounded by her siblings and truly thrives with canine companionship. Older children are best, simply because when Hunny Bunny gets happy, she gets joyfully bouncy the kind of excitement that comes from a dog who is finally living the life she always deserved.Hunny Bunny isnt looking for perfection. Shes looking for home. A place where she can run, play, rest her head at your feet, and know she will never have to be split up, moved along, or left behind again. If youre searching for a loyal, affectionate companion who will love you with her whole heart and follow you anywhere, Hunny Bunny is ready. All she needs is someone willing to choose her forever.
