My story

Meet Gumby your future adventure buddy and cuddle champion all in one Gumbys story began when he was found wandering through a neighborhood in Alabama, with no one coming forward to claim him. But it didnt take long for everyone to see what a special boy he is. Smart, loyal, and full of love, Gumby is the kind of dog who makes a lasting impression from the moment you meet him. This handsome Australian Kelpie mix is incredibly intelligent and already knows some commands and hes eager to learn more. He thrives on engagement and would love a family who will continue to challenge his sharp mind. True to his breed, Gumby brings a medium-to-high energy level outdoors, making him a perfect match for an active home that enjoys walks, playtime, and maybe even a splash in the water (one of his favorite things!). But dont be fooled once the adventures are done, Gumby is just as happy to curl up beside you as a total couch potato. Hes affectionate, attentive, and deeply devoted to his people. In fact, Gumby has never met a stranger everyone is a friend in his eyes, and hes always ready to share his love. He enjoys toys, bones, and spending quality time with his humans. Hes housebroken, crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and is well-mannered in the home. Gumby gets along well with both kids and other dogs, making him a wonderful addition to many types of families. Because of his energy level, Gumby would do best in a home with a yard where he can run and play apartment living isnt the right fit for this active boy. Gumby is more than ready to leave his past behind and start his next chapter with a family who will love him as much as hell love them. If youre looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will keep you active and then snuggle up at the end of the day Gumby might just be your perfect match Name: Gumby (20260302-01)Age: 2 yearsWeight: 43 lbsGender: maleSpayed/Neutered: yesBreed: Australian Kelpie mixColour: chocolate brownNeck size (for collar):Height (from top of head):Length (from nose to base of tail):Crate size recommended:Good with women: yesGood with men: yesGood with kids: yesGood with other dogs: yesGood with cats: yesHouse trained: yesCrate trained: yesEnergy level: med -highCan be handled/touched: yesBarker: sometimesFlight risk: none noted but always on leash or fenced - all dogs should be considered flight risks in new environmentsFood aggressive: noCurrent food: pure balance dryWalks on leash: yesLeash reactive to people or dogs: no but gets excited to meet dogsRides well in car: yesDestructive: noNeeds a home with a yard: yesNeeds a home with another dog: noCan live in an apartment: no Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
