My story

Meet Lucy Lou a gentle little survivor with the sweetest soul and the kind of eyes that tell a story of resilience, hope, and quiet courage. Lucy Lou is a Jindo/Corgi mix rescued from a dog meat farm in Korea, where she spent the beginning of her life knowing uncertainty instead of love.Despite everything she has endured, Lucy Lou has remained incredibly kind-hearted and gentle, slowly learning that people can be safe and that she deserves comfort, affection, and a family of her own. Lucy Lou is the perfect medium-small companion. She may be shy when meeting new people, but once she forms a bond, her sweet personality begins to shine.Lucy Lou enjoys quiet companionship, gentle affection, and the reassurance of having people and dogs she trusts nearby. Lucy Lou gets along well with other dogs and would truly thrive in a home with a calm, confident canine companion to help guide her and build her confidence. She is also wonderful with respectful older children who understand that shy dogs need patience and kindness. While her compatibility with cats is unknown, a cat test can be completed if needed. She is crate trained, making progress with house training, walks nicely on leash, rides calmly in the car, and has a lovely medium energy level. Lucy Lou is not destructive, not reactive, and rarely barks.Because of her past and naturally cautious nature, she can be a flight risk in the beginning before trust is fully established, so a patient adopter committed to safety and slow introductions will be very important. Lucy Lou would love a quieter home with a yard where she can safely explore and continue building confidence at her own pace. More than anything, she needs a family willing to give her the time, patience, and unconditional love she has always deserved. After surviving so much, Lucy Lou is finally ready for her happy ending. Now shes just waiting for someone to show her what forever feels like.
