My story

Meet Delilah 🌼 Delilah is a beautiful 1-year-old Lab/Terrier mix with a playful spirit and an even bigger heart. She was rescued as a puppy at just 8 weeks old and has grown into a loving, affectionate dog who absolutely adores people, kids, and other dogs. This sweet girl loves being outside, playing fetch, and soaking up attention from her humans. She’s smart, food motivated, and already knows several commands — she comes when called, sits, and will stop barking when corrected. She’s house trained and loves treats almost as much as she loves playtime. Delilah has lived around cats and generally does well with them, though she can occasionally get playful and excited. She truly just wants to be involved in everything around her. Like many young, energetic dogs, Delilah still needs structure and continued training. She was never fully crate trained as a puppy, and because of that, she has struggled with destructive behavior when left alone. She is currently working on crate training and will need an adopter who is patient, consistent, and committed to continuing that work. She would thrive with someone experienced with active dogs who can keep her mentally stimulated, exercised, and on a routine. To help set her up for success, we will provide a heavy-duty crate to her adopter. This decision is being made solely due to housing restrictions — not because Delilah isn’t loved. She is a very sweet, loyal dog who deserves a stable home willing to give her the guidance and structure she needs to thrive. If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion and are willing to invest in a young dog with tons of potential, Delilah could be the perfect fit for your family.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Delilah the Lab, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
