My story

Hello, I’m Annie! I’m a beautiful senior Shepherd mix with plenty of love to give. Even though I’m approaching my golden years, I still have lots of energy and pep in my step! I can feel a little anxious in new environments or situations, so I would do best in a home that gives me time to decompress and settle in at my own pace. Once I feel comfortable, you’ll see what a sweet and loving girl I truly am. I love playing with toys, going on long walks, and spending time with my people. Because I still have a good amount of energy, an active home would help me thrive. Keeping me physically and mentally engaged helps me feel confident, happy, and at my very best! I’m also a girl who loves routine and structure, just like many shepherds do. I would do best in a home without cats, small dogs, or other small pets. I may be open to a dog sibling who is similar in size and energy to me, but I’d love to meet them, and the whole family, first to make sure we’re a great match. I’m mostly potty trained, though since I’m a little older, more frequent potty breaks will help prevent accidents. I’m also eligible for the staycation foster-to-adopt program, which gives us the chance to get to know each other in your home before making things official.
