My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Woldong Age: About 2 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Beige Weight: 13.8kg / 30.4lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a wildfire. Everything around me was overwhelming, but somehow, I made it through—and kind people found me. Since then, I’ve been learning that the world can be gentle, too. I may have come from a scary place, but I’m not a scared dog. I’m resilient, I’m hopeful, and I’m ready to trust again. Now, I’m just looking for someone to share a quiet, safe, and loving life with.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Woldong, a gentle soul learning to trust, one day at a time. I might be a little shy when we first meet but give me just a moment and you’ll see my soft, warm personality come through. I’m the kind of dog who quietly finds my way into your heart before you even realize it. If you’re someone who believes in quiet growth and gentle love, I think we might be meant to find each other.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I might be a tiny bit shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for me to open up. If you offer me a treat, I’ll gently come closer, and before you know it I’ll be letting you pet me like we’ve known each other forever. Once I feel comfortable, I really lean in to love. I might roll over and show you my belly — that’s my way of saying, “I trust you.” And you can scoop me up with your arms under my belly — I don’t mind being held at all, especially when it means I get to be close to you. With kids, I’m actually very sweet and accepting. Sudden movements or loud sounds might surprise me for a moment, but I recover quickly and don’t hold onto it. · With Dogs: When it comes to other dogs, I’m quite the social butterfly. I don’t really mind if they’re big or small — if I see a new dog, I’ll happily walk over to say hello and invite them to play. I enjoy making friends and sharing little moments together, and I tend to approach others with a gentle, friendly energy. · With Cats: When a cat, a bird, or a little animal suddenly darts by, I can get very excited and might try to chase it. It’s not that I mean any harm, I just get very curious. With a bit of patience and teamwork, we can turn those exciting moments into calm, happy moments together.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I have a nice, balanced energy — I enjoy walks and fresh air,and after we’ve had our time outside, I’m happy to come home and rest quietly. On walks, I can get a little determined. Sometimes I pull — especially when I want to go a certain way — but I do listen and naturally like to follow my person. I feel much more comfortable in calm, quiet places. Busy roads with lots of cars can be a bit scary for me, so I’d love someone who understands that and helps me feel safe. With patience and guidance, I’ll grow more confident every day.   TRAINING & HABITS When it comes to food, I’m very gentle with people — you don’t have to worry about me guarding anything from you. But if another dog comes too close while I’m eating, I might give a small growl. I just like my space during mealtime. Sometimes, when I really want something, I’ll let you know with a little “hey, don’t forget me!” bark —I just like communicating with my person. The kennel? I’ll admit I don’t always run into it right away, but once I’m inside, I settle down calmly and rest without any trouble. I’m flexible with potty habits — I can use both indoor pads and go outside, depending on the routine we build together.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES You might notice my scars first — marks from burns I went through before I was rescued. They’re a part of me, but they don’t hurt anymore. Now, they’re just little reminders of how far I’ve come. I may not look “perfect,” but my heart? It’s full, and ready to love you with everything I have. If you look past my scars, you might just find your best friend waiting right here.My skin has healed beautifully, but it can still get dry sometimes, so I’ll need a little ongoing care to keep me comfortable. I don’t naturally drink a lot of water, so my caregivers help me stay hydrated by mixing water into my meals.    WOLDONG'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2693867##
