Meet Mooncake, a little ball of joy with a big personality! Sweet, curious, and a touch mischievous, he’s ready to turn every day into an adventure. Mooncake can be shy at first, but give him a moment, and he’ll be your cuddly sidekick for life. In his foster home, he gets along wonderfully with other animals, though a slow, gradual introduction is best to make sure everyone feels comfortable. Adopt Mooncake and bring home endless snuggles, laughter, and puppy charm!IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:9lbs and still growing!HOME TYPE:Any.CHILDREN:Yes - Children are potentially compatible. CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:Yes- Cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.OTHER DOGS:Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation. HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:First time dog owner possible.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:At least 3 in person training sessions to work on basic training, basic manners, and socialization.HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:Very human social once comfortable.FAVOURITE THINGS:Stuffed toys, treats, training time/learning.FOSTER AND FIELD TRIP INSIDER INFO: (please note that dogs may behave different in foster`s care than adopter`s care and the following cannot be guaranteed) HOUSE TRAINING: Cannoli and Mooncake need a lot of work. I think because it has been so cold out they don`t go out or don`t stay out long enough to go to the washroom. They end up going all over the house. They don`t stick to one spot either.CAR MANNERS: The only car rides they have had have been coming back from the centre and they have been in a crate. They didn`t seem to mind the car ride though. They did not bark or whine much.LEASH MANNERS / ON WALK MANNERS: Unknown at this time. CRATE TRAINING: They have been very good with being in the crate at night or when I leave the house. They don`t make too much noise and any noise they make does not last very long. I have been putting some food in the crate every time i put them in as a positive association tactic.KNOWN TRAINING CUES: They don`t know any commands at this point.HUMAN SOCIAL: They always want to be around you.
