My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Minsu Age: 1 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Cream / Brown Weight: 13kg / 28.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was saved from a city pound after being listed for euthanasia—not due to behavior, but simply because the shelter was overcrowded and couldn’t care for all the dogs. Even after such a scary beginning, I’ve kept my soft, loving nature. Now I’m just hoping for a family who can give me the safety, affection, and second chance I’ve been longing for.   MY HEALTH Neutered & Currently no known health issues All vaccinations up-to-date   MY PERSONALITY I’m a super handsome boy with a curious heart, even if I’m a little cautious at first. I might try to act a bit “hard to get,” but don’t let that fool you—underneath it all, I’m a very sweet, affectionate boy who loves attention once I feel safe. I don’t enjoy being touched right away and need a moment to warm up, but once I do, I’ll happily stay by your side and soak up your company. I even like to sneak in little kisses when you’re not looking and act like I’m being subtle. Sudden or intense affection can overwhelm me, especially from new people, but with gentle patience, I open up beautifully. And when it comes to playing with dog friends? That’s one of my favorite things!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a bit shy at first and don’t like being pet right away. In the beginning, I may avoid your hands and walk away, but with a few treats and gentle encouragement, I warm up quickly and will even gently take treats from your hand. Once I feel comfortable, I enjoy pets and human company, though I’m not ready to be picked up until a strong bond of trust has been built. I show my affection in a sweet, subtle way, and with the right family, I’ll blossom into a loving, loyal, and devoted companion. · With Dogs: Although I can be shy with people, I’m very friendly and social with my dog friends. I love greeting new dogs and joining in play, usually getting along best with dogs my size or larger. I rely on my canine companions for comfort and support, so I would thrive in a home with another confident dog sibling to keep me company. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request. During walks, I notice cats with curiosity, but I quickly lose interest and happily continue on with my stroll.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a medium-to-high energy level and love spending plenty of time outdoors, after which I happily snuggle indoors. I’m a young dog, around 1 year old, so I need lots of mental and physical stimulation to keep me happy and engaged.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely. I don’t guard my food against people or dogs and rest calmly in my kennel. I can get on and off a car on my own and potty both indoors and outdoors, though with a consistent walk schedule, I prefer outdoor potty.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family that understands that I will need more guidance with leash walking. Ideally a home with another confident dog sibling that I can depend on.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a level 3 rescue dog, which means I’ll need at least a week to settle into a new home. I must be double-leashed at all times outdoors and closely supervised to prevent escapes. I’m a sweet, shy boy at first, but underneath that shyness is an affectionate pup ready to come out of my shell. I’m eager to learn and please, so I’ll need continued guidance with basic obedience and socialization. Once I bond with my family, I’ll likely follow you from room to room, becoming your loyal shadow. I get along well with my dog friends—including Kkharu at the care facility—and I love playing with toys.   Minsu's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2589533##
