My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Soonju Age: 8 months Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo mix Color: White Weight: 11kg / 24lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from an illegal dog slaughter operation. I used to live in a scary place with no safety or comfort, but rescuers brought me out and gave me a new chance at life. Now I’m safe, loved, and ready to find a forever family.   MY HEALTH 2025.08.29 – DHPP + Coronavirus + Rabies 2025.09.26 – DHPP + Coronavirus 2025.10.28 – DHPP + Kennel Cough (Bordetella) + Influenza   MY PERSONALITY Hi! I’m Soonju. Even though I’m still a puppy, I have a calm personality and love being around others. I get along really well with both people and other dogs. I’m friendly, charming, and full of social skills. I’m growing every day and will become a well-mannered companion who loves making new friends!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m very friendly and social, not only with people I know but also with new people. I love walking up to strangers, leaning on them, and letting them pet me easily. You can even lift me by gently placing your arms under my belly. And once I feel close to you, I’ll roll over and show you, my belly! · With Dogs: I’m very social, not only with dogs I know but also with new dogs. I like to walk up, say hello, and invite them to play. Even if another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to avoid trouble and walk away. · With Cats: Even when I see a cat during walks, I stay focused on my person.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level — I enjoy outdoor activities, but I relax quietly afterward. I don’t pull on the leash, and I follow my person well. I sometimes try to go in the direction I want because I’m still gaining experience with walks, but I’m learning quickly.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food from people or other dogs, and I rarely bark. I stay calm when I’m in a kennel, and I’m good with both indoor pee-pads and outdoor potty breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I would thrive in a loving home where I get plenty of attention and gentle guidance. I enjoy outdoor walks and playtime, but I also love relaxing quietly afterward. A family who is patient with my ongoing training and social skills would be perfect for me. I get along well with other dogs and people, so a home with friendly companions would make me happiest!   SPECIAL NOTES I have soft, fluffy fur and feel just like a puppy! I’m sweet, cute, and easygoing, with a calm and relaxed personality that everyone loves. I’m not very food-motivated, and I’m a Stage 2 rescue, which means I have great social skills but still need a little more training and guidance.   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2587395##
