Champ the family dog!

My story

Meet Champ the family dog! Champ is a 4-year-old, 80 lb mixed breed with a heart the size of his big ol’ head.  Background: Champ was rescued as a stray in South Phoenix and never reclaimed. While we don't know much about his life before rescue, it's clear that he's ready to leave his days of fending for himself behind and become a beloved family member. This handsome guy is looking for a forever home where he'll never have to worry about being alone again. Personality: Champ is a sweet, affectionate goofball who loves attention and isn't shy about asking for it. If he could fit in your lap, he would happily spend all day there! He loves belly rubs, enjoys playing tug-of-war, and has a goofy smile that makes everyone fall for him. It's no wonder he is a volunteer favorite. One of Champ's best qualities is how much he loves kids. He enjoys being part of the action and would love a family that includes him in everyday activities and adventures.  Health: Champ is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.  Training: Champ is house-trained and enjoys getting out for walks. He rides well in the car, takes treats and toys gently, and knows how to be a polite companion. He's eager to spend time with his people and is always ready for his next adventure.  Ideal Home: Champ is looking for a dog-free home where he can be the center of attention. While he loves people, especially children, he is dog selective and would do best as the only pet. He would thrive with a family that wants an affectionate, loyal companion to join them on walks, hikes, road trips, and cozy evenings at home. A family with kids would be a dream come true for this gentle giant.  Adoption Requirements: Champ’s adoption fee is $350.
