My story

Just in time for the holidays..... welcome Oscar... an inquisitive little border  terrier mix who was rescued as a stray.   Oscar is 3-4 months old and weighs 8 pounds.   Oscar is 'all puppy', and loves attention toys and  food in that order. He will shower you with tons of love but also wants to be by your side.  Oscar sleeps in a crate at night without an accident.  His foster family is working on housetraining but he is not house trained yet.  Oscar is currently teething so having chew toys, and carrots on hand is recommended.   Like all puppies, Oscar will rely on you to continue his  potty and basic training to make him the best companion he can be.  Oscar has received his first set of vaccinations.  The rescue will pay for Oscar's remaining  puppy  and rabies vaccinations and neuter at our vet clinic.  Microchip implant and registration is also included in Oscar’s adoption fee.   Because Oscar is not fully vaccinated, a home with a secure, fenced yard is a must....Please do not apply if you are in an apartment or condo.  If you are interested in providing Oscar with care prior to his full adoption being finalized, please complete our online application at https://www.helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/ and a volunteer coordinator will contact you. His adoption fee of $400  helps with medical expenses of the rescue.
