My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Dingo Age: 1 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Brown Weight: 14kg / 31lbs Fully Vaccinated, Microchipped, and Dewormed.   MY RESCUE STORY I was in an extremely dire state when I was rescued — malnourished, covered in itch mites, and lying on the hot ground in Korea, barely clinging to life. Thankfully, a kind rescuer found me, gave me food, and provided emergency care that saved me. Since then, I’ve been nurtured back to health at a loving care facility. Now I’m full of energy, hope, and love, and I can’t wait to meet my forever family to shower with affection and share all the joy I have to give!   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY When you first meet me, you’ll notice my handsome, elegant look and my irresistibly soft brown fur that’s perfect for petting. I can be a little shy around people because of my past neglect and abuse, but I’m a sweet, trusting boy who genuinely enjoys human company.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you! With some treats and gentle encouragement, I warm up quickly. I need a little time before I enjoy being petted and generally prefer women over men. Once I feel comfortable, I’ll happily show my belly and even let you pick me up. · With Dogs: I like to greet new dogs, but I don’t jump into play right away. I’m a bit reserved at first and like to observe my surroundings. If another dog is pushy or rude, I may stand my ground, so slow and careful introductions are best. I learned to be independent from my time fending for myself on the streets before being rescued. · With Cats: I’m generally indifferent toward cats, though my exact reaction is still being observed. At my rescue site, there are many street cats, and even when they came near my food bowl, I wasn’t bothered at all.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level — I enjoy spending time outdoors, and afterward, I’m happy to snuggle up indoors and relax.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning leash walking and need gentle guidance. When I get scared, I tend to freeze, as walking on a leash is still new and sometimes overwhelming for me. I rest calmly in my kennel, don’t guard my food against people or dogs, and prefer to potty outdoors. I may mark occasionally in a new environment as I adjust.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me grow and become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself, and a stable environment. A family that will cherish me forever. A family that enjoys indoor & outdoor activities and spending quality time together. A family that understands my rough past and is patient with me as I come out of my shell and gain confidence in the world.   SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff say I deserve the very best — and I do! I’ve had a tough life on the streets and learned to be cautious, but once I trust you, my love and loyalty run deep. I adore snuggles and showing affection to those I bond with. I’m smart and eager to learn, though I’ll need guidance with leash walking and basic obedience. I’m currently free-fed and do a great job managing my appetite, so continuing this routine will help me settle in. As a level 3 rescue dog, I may be shy for the first week in a new home. For my safety, I must always wear a martingale collar with ID and GPS and be double-leashed during walks. With patience and love, I’ll become your devoted, affectionate companion.   Dingo's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2572781##
