Meet Carl! This charming, people-loving pup is a true connoisseur of human company. Always ready with a wagging tail and a hopeful glance, Carl is food-motivated and eager to please anyone who crosses his path.With a bit of regular grooming and plenty of love, Carl will happily follow you on adventures or simply plop down in front of you for some well-deserved scratches. If you’re seeking a energetic and friendly companion, Carl might just be your perfect match!IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:72 lbs.HOME TYPE:House or Townhouse- Carl would do best in a home without shared walls as he can be very vocal. CHILDREN:Yes- Mid-aged or older children (young children would not be a good fit) with large dog experience potentially compatible. CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.OTHER DOGS:Yes- Dogs potentially compatibleACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:Working/herding breed research is required prior to adoption and breed experience is an asset. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:At least two in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training and manners.HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:Very human social. Carl is friendly and loves people, but can be pushy at times when he wants attention! He is a fast learner, especially when treats are involved. Carl will also need regular grooming.
