Meet Octavia! She’s curious, affectionate, and full of personality, but she also has a sensitive side that means she needs a calm and patient home. Octavia thrives with people who understand her nervous moments and are willing to help her build confidence at her own pace. She enjoys attention and loves spending time with her humans, but she can get a little anxious in new situations or around loud sounds. Her ideal family will have previous experience with dogs and be prepared to take things slowly, helping her navigate any challenges with patience and love.With the right home, Octavia will be a sweet and loving companion, always ready for affection and play time. She’s looking for a family who will celebrate her personality and give her the confidence to shine. Come meet this lovely girl today!IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:49 lbs.HOME TYPE:House or Townhouse- No busy or large apartments as Octavia is shy/nervous and can be sound sensitive. CHILDREN:No- Adult only or adults and near adult aged children potentially compatible. CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.OTHER DOGS:Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:Octavia’s new family should have some previous experience with dogs and be prepared to take things slowly. They’ll need patience and understanding to help her work through challenges such as nervousness and sound sensitivity.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:At least three in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training, manners and sound sensitivity.
