Meet Cali! This sweet girl is a bundle of love with a sensitive side. Cali would thrive with experienced dog owners who understand that she may need a little extra time to feel fully comfortable in new environments. She blossoms when given patience, gentle guidance, and lots of love.Cali enjoys attention and affection but can be a bit cautious at first, so her ideal family will be open to the possibility of multiple meet-and-greets prior to adoption to help her feel safe and confident. She responds beautifully to calm and consistency and is sure to reward her family with loyalty, companionship, and plenty of heartwarming moments!With the right home, Cali will be a devoted, loving companion who brings joy and warmth into every day.IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:58 lbs.HOME TYPE:House or Townhouse. No apartments as Cali can nervous and anxious. She would do best in quiet home without shared walls or shared corridors/entryways.CHILDREN:Yes- No. Adult only family that has previous dog experience. CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:Yes- Cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.OTHER DOGS:Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:Cali’s new family should be experienced with dogs and be aware that she may need multiple meet-and-greet sessions prior to adoption.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:At least three in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training, manners, touch/sound sensitivity and general anxiety. HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:Very human social once comfortable.
