My story

Meet Louise – a sweet companion looking for her forever home! Louise is a gentle dog who enjoys being near her people. She needs a few days to warm up, and affection will initially be on her terms. With patience and encouragement, she gains more and more trust in her people, and her curious, fun side comes out to play! As she builds her confidence, Louise likes to seek refuge in her crate, which she considers a "safe space." She can be hesitant around new people and loud noises worry her, so her ideal home will be calm without much hustle and bustle. Once she's part of the family, Louise will be a loyal, loving dog who is happy to relax by your side. She’s quick learner who has already mastered *come* and *stay*. Louise is making excellent progress with potty training. She is polite when taking treats and very good on leash. Louise's current foster has a dog and they get along well. Having another dog in the house could help Louise develop more confidence. History Louise came into IAR from a nearby county shelter. Physical Louise has long legs, expressive ears, and a beautiful brown, black, and white coat. Health Louise is up to date on vaccines and will be spayed soon.
