My story

Looking for the perfect companion? Then this short king might be your match! Ernie is a six-year-old mini poodle weighing in at about 10 lbs. He is a little shy at first but then this guy will be your snuggly shadow! Ernie already has displayed several impressive talents including being an amazing walker who stays right by your side, he’s great a cuddling, he has no issues on car rides, and is a great shopping buddy (just everyone he met at Nordstrom!). Not to mention he has an appreciation for a good smokey eye look. He’s a little shy at first but then warms up quickly and enjoys being held. We are a still working on potty training but who isn’t? He’s about 80% of the way there and follows the lead of his foster brother (6 yo cockapoo) and foster sister (10 yo bulldog). He coexists well with the other dogs but is still coming out of his shell. Ernie is a pretty chill guy that loves being with his people. We’ve had quite a few people (including the vet) comment about how mellow he is - he’d do great with a 20-30 minute walk each day but he’s also just fine hanging by your side as the perfect little couch buddy. If you are looking for the sweetest, easy going boy that loves affection, Ernie is your guy. He is currently fostered in Mason, Ohio. His adoption fee is $450.00. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
