My story

Cheddar is the only boy in his litter—and the only orange kitten—which makes him extra special! Though he’s a bit shy around people right now, this soft-hearted guy is slowly learning to trust and is making great progress with the help of gentle foster care, cozy snuggles, and (most importantly) tasty treats.Cheddar is a total mama’s boy and loves spending time with his surrogate mama, Coral. He’s also a high-energy playmate when it’s time to romp with his three sisters or chase string toys. He may be shy, but when the toys come out, Cheddar becomes a lightning-fast blur of orange fluff!Every now and then, Cheddar even enjoys being held like a baby—proof that there’s a snuggly soul just waiting to shine through with the right person by his side. Bonus: he’s already advanced in his tablet-based Bug Squishing Training!Almost Home adopts kittens under 6 months of age in pairs, as kittens that young are not fully socialized and need a same/similar-age playmate in order not to become a nuisance to family members—including other pets in the home. Adopting kittens in pairs allows them to complete the kitty socialization process, learn good kitty manners, and have a playmate so their humans can sleep at night.
