My story

🎆 Meet Kota 🎆 This handsome 6-year-old Golden Retriever found his way to us on the Fourth of July after being surrendered by his previous owner. Long story short—it wasn’t his fault, and he deserved so much better. 💔 We were initially told they’d help with his vetting, but the moment we picked him up and they signed the surrender form, the communication stopped. Kota hadn’t had any vaccinations or preventatives since he was a puppy. He’s not neutered, smelled pretty rough from lack of care, and desperately needed a good grooming and some TLC. *Thank you Carly with Paws Paradise Fur Life! Despite all that, Kota is the definition of a good boy—sweet, well-mannered, and still loves to play and socialize. He’s also just as happy relaxing at home, making him the perfect mix of fun and chill. 🐾💛 His neuter is scheduled for late August (every vet is booked out!), but in the meantime we ran a full senior panel. Bloodwork is great. Heartworm negative! But, it showed some red blood cells in his urine, so we have a recheck coming up. If it’s still abnormal, we’ll proceed with a urine culture and X-rays to get to the bottom of it. We’re committed to making sure he’s healthy and ready for his forever home. ✨ They say no good deed goes unpunished—but Kota is so worth it. He deserves a home that will never give up on him again. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need.
