My story

**Meet Dewey**, the soft-hearted little scholar with a playful streak! Named after the Dewey Decimal System, this sweet tabby boy is the perfect blend of brainy and bouncy. He might be a bit shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time (and maybe a Churu or two), and you’ll see his curious, fun-loving personality shine. Dewey loves a good game of chase—whether it’s after a crinkle toy, a feather wand, or just a shadow on the floor. Once he’s comfortable, he turns into a joyful little sidekick who’s always ready for playtime and gentle cuddles. With his thoughtful eyes and quiet charm, Dewey is the kind of kitten who warms up slowly but loves deeply. If you’re looking for a sweet companion to grow with you, Dewey is ready to file himself under “Best Friend Forever.” --- The Pre-adoption process allows us to get the adoption process started early, even though vetting isn’t complete. Per the Department of Agriculture rules and regulations, The Kitten Rescue Project is responsible for vetting all of its kittens before adoption is final. At this time the kitten is not fully vetted because he/she is too young. We expect vetting will be completed around July 28th, but could be delayed a couple weeks longer if he/she does not meet the weight requirement by our vet. Once vetted, our kittens are dewormed, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Our feline adoption fee is $120, which assists in offsetting but does not entirely cover the expenses incurred for the animal's care and completion of essential veterinary care. We do not place cats in homes based on the order of application received. Instead, we prioritize the earliest applications that are the best match for the kitten. We will prioritize applicants within a 2 hour drive of Atlanta, GA to help minimize the kitten's stress during transport. Our adoption process does not happen in a single day. Typically, it can take at least a week for applications to move from submission to adoption. We reserve the right to deny any applicant for any reason.
