My story

Summer is a gorgeous 2-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for food and fun! This happy, energetic girl loves to play with toys, snuggle up for pets, and make new human friends wherever she goes. She’s very food motivated, which makes training a breeze—although she’s still working on her manners when it comes to treats (she tends to leap first and ask questions later!). Summer is being crate trained and does great sleeping in her crate at night. She’s always up for attention and affection. While she seems pretty indifferent to other dogs, her people are her favorite. With a little continued guidance on patience and polite treat-taking, Summer is going to make a wonderful, joyful addition to a loving home! All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.
