My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.A volunteer writes: I saw Biscoff's considerable, albeit unsuccessful, attempts at hiding himself and my heart shattered. Trying to make a place for yourself when you don't see one is a heartbreak in and of itself, but watching Biscoff tuck his little head under his blanket got me. The shelter is big and noisy, but the hiding we see isn't who Biscoff is. He was left in a carrier without any information, so we don't know much about his life before but when I offered a treat, he visibly brightened. Biscoff sat up, taking one step and then another before sliding his head into my hand like it was what he wanted to have been doing this whole time. As I petted Biscoff I explained that his forever family will understand that sometimes the smallest steps are so hard won and when he finds them, he's going to shine as brilliantly as he should.
