My story

Yokai A17651828 lb. neutered male, approx 4 months old -He starts off timid with new people but it doesn’t last long!-I sat on the ground and he immediately crawled into my lap and got excited and playful. Wiggly and giving lots of kisses.-He has no interest in treats or toys at the moment-His main focus is to just be close for attention and affection-He has a very large scar down his back. We don’t know his past but are hoping for a promising future full of love! He just needs time and patience to settle in.-Walks decent on a leash but stops occasionally for reassurance-Will need some puppy training. Please keep that in mind if you want a puppy. They require time and patience to be the best that they can be! -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper introsUnknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
