Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. Bonzai is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Bonzai is half of a bonded pair with his "sister" Lucy. They will only be adopted together. If you don't have room in your heart for 2 dogs, Bonzai is not your boy. Weight: 19 lbs Height: 14 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $750 For The Bonded Pair (Bonzai and Lucy) Fence needed? No, though he would love one! What kind of home would be best for me? First and foremost, Bonzai is looking for room in their heart for 2 dogs. He and his sister Lucy are a bonded pair and will not be separated. Bonzai is looking for a home with no children. They make him anxious and nervous. Bonzai and Lucy would be fine in an apartment, townhome or single family home. They would prefer someone home during the day but understand if you have obligations outside the home and can provide a break. What is my personality like? Bonzai is half of a bonded pair with his "sister" Lucy. Bonzai is a very sweet boy who has been well loved. As he has aged Bonzai has become more anxious around strangers and young children. His previous home included young children and it simply was not a match for an aging pup that was accustomed to being the baby. Bonzai is happiest when there is a ball. This boy LOVES to play and has no off switch once you start the game. He slept in a crate in his previous home, but has figured out that snuggling in the bed with humans is pretty awesome in his foster home. Bonzai is good in a car and enjoys playing in a fenced yard in his foster home. He says leashed walks are great too! How do I act when I first meet new people? Bonzai can be a little shy when meeting new people. He tends to follow Lucy's lead.  Other tips and tidbits: Bonzai's birthday is 11/18/2020. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you.
