My story

Hi! My name is BUDDY and I am a 1yr old Golden Doodle and I am looking for my forever family. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. In fact, I used to have a family, with a mom and dad and kids and they were so nice to me. I lived outside but they’d play ball with me every once in a while and I would alert them when strangers approached, which was my job. One day, my father took me on a long car ride to a place I’d never been before and he let me out of the car so I could pee. I’d only marked one small tree when I heard the car start up and begin to pull away. My dad must’ve forgotten that I’d gotten out of the car because I ran up alongside the car and barked but my dad’s window was rolled up, so he could not hear me. Then, the wheels started spinning and a cloud of dust blinded me for a moment but I kept running in the direction of the car and even though I couldn’t see, I could hear the car engine revving. I ran as fast as I could for as long as I could, chasing after the car. After I regained my site, I watched the car driving further away from me until it disappeared from view. I searched for my family for days and finally ended up at a nice woman’s house who connected me with a rescue and that’s where I live now. I dream of the day that a nice family adopts me and makes me their forever puppy. I love being outside but my foster mom says I need a family that plays with me outside and even walks me around the neighborhood and allows me to come inside and live as a member of the family. That sounds like a dream to me, but honestly what I really want is to be loved and never forgotten.
