My story

Meet Toby! Toby can't seem to catch a break. He was adopted for Maricopa County Animal Control as a puppy. He was returned several months later because he was resource guarding high value food/treats and they were having a baby. He also had a cloudy eye. What they didn't mention is that he was kept outside and had HORRIBLE allergies. Because of his health issues he was immediately put on the euthanasia list. He was a hot mess when we pulled him from county. His first stop was the eye doctor. We needed to make sure his other eye was ok. We were told that his eye needed to be removed but the other one was all good. Next stop the vet for some allergy relief. We got him all fixed up and an appointment made for an eye removal. Toby's eye was removed and we also found out that he has Valley Fever. Toby is under weight right now. His foster is working on putting some healthy pounds on him. We figured he probably did due to the eye problem. His titer isn't high. More than likely he will only be on the meds for 6-12 months. Toby's foster family loves him! He is very playful and loves to hang out with the kids. He loves his foster mom. He does have some resource guarding. We are working on that. He is recovering from his eye removal and we can tell he already feels better. Toby likes other dogs and walks on a leash. He would make a great hiking buddy! Toby is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and 4DX (tick/heartworm test) negative. Toby is positive for Valley Fever a this time. Toby's fee is $400 Toby is approximately 1.6 years old and weighs 56 pounds. To meet Toby, please fill out the application https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAWP/Dog
