Sylvester

My story

Sylvester is located in the vicinity of both Collegeville and North Wales Petsmart and his foster mom typically uses the Collegeville location. His estimated DOB is 03/24/2025. Sylvester has been in foster since he was 4 weeks old. He was found in a Berks County barnyard wandering alone amongst the horses and large farm equipment. Despite almost being crushed because he was so small, he was confidently announcing his presence to anyone who would listen. Sylvester acclimated immediately to being a house cat, never afraid or timid. You may have seen him out and about at Stray Cat Blues events like Lansdale Day, where he had fun hamming it up for anyone who gave him attention. He runs to greet his foster humans and signals that he wants to be picked up by sitting on their feet. He purrs very easily and very loudly and can be heard from across the room. He has more energy than the average kitten and must be adopted by someone who has the time and desire to provide him with a significant amount of active playtime (e.g. feather wand or laser pointer). His foster home has two elementary school aged children as well as several other kittens with whom Slyvester loves to wrestle and play chase. He still gets a bit too rough when he is under- or overstimulated, but his foster family are working with him to redirect and learn that teeth are not for playing or communicating a desire to play. At this time, he needs a home without very young children (e.g. preschool) and an experienced and patient owner who is willing to help Sylvester learn proper manners while he is still young. A family with school-aged children who are experienced will be fine. Sylvester enjoys the company of other cats who enjoy playing as much as he does. He would also do well as a single cat if his owners were able to provide him with attention and exercise.
