My story

Hi, my name is Big Gulp! (Spoiler alert, I was trapped near a 7-11!) My rescuers thought I was a feral boy who needed Trap-Neuter--Release. BUT, I quickly made it clear to everyone that I'm an absolute love bug who just had to learn to act tough to survive out on the streets. One of my helpers spent some time with me to assess my temperament, and within 20 minutes of first meeting her, I was curled up on her lap happily making biscuits. If you've had a rough day, I will gaze sweetly into your eyes while you tell me all about it, and I give REALLY good hugs! We think I'm about 2 years old. I do have a cauliflower ear that came from either fighting or a bad infection, but I've gotten a clean bill of health from the vet. I'll just need a human who is willing to keep a close eye on my ear and help me keep it clean. I'm a very good boy about getting my ear cleaned and my helpers can show you how to do it. I usually enjoy it so much that my little back leg starts thumping! My helpers think my ear just adds to my charm and they say it's a badge of survival. I'm a VERY chatty boy and I need a family who will spend a lot of time with me. I don't like being alone! I have a squeaky meow and I will talk with you about anything from philosophy to my preferred brand of treat (it's Churu, by the way). Any topic of conversation is fine by me, I really just want to be with you. I'm not sure if I've ever been around dogs; I've seen one once since I've been with the rescue and I got nervous. I get along with other cats, with proper introductions of course, and I think I'd like to have a kitty friend or two to keep me company. I'm not sure if I've been around kids, but I think I would be okay with calm, gentle kids. Loud noises and fast movements make me nervous so I'll do best in a home that's pretty calm. I'm just starting to learn about toys and playing, so I'm hoping for a home where we can try out all different kinds of toys together. I LOVE a good cat tree especially if it comes with a window view! I like wet and dry food and I LOVE treats (if I haven't mentioned it yet... Churu). I am FIV positive, like many kitties who've been through life on the streets, but please don't let that deter you! I can still live a long, full, healthy life, and I can live quite safely with non-FIV kitties, with proper introductions. Find out more here: https://fivcats.com/: If I get sick it might take me a bit longer to recover, but most of us FIV Kitties live long lives like our non-FIV friends, especially when we live indoors and receive regular vet care. If you’re interested in adopting me but scared about the FIV, my helpers would be happy to talk with you! They’ve worked with a lot of FIV kitties, and they’re happy to answer any questions you might have. So that is the story of how a roughed-up and rough-acting tom cat was rescued, and turned out to be a sweet and loving gentleman! I'm ready to find my forever home and make a family so happy with all the love and joy that I have to share. I can't wait to meet you! 📧 Interested in meeting me? Email billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com and check out our adoption info for more details. ‼️ Don’t forget to spay and neuter—help control the pet population! 💯 https://fivcats.com/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR4l-_ut32Oi6bOSx9Esab5Ni9BYQ8i6l8XMbaSMJ5J0LOMQwuFZdem8clBcHQ_aem_svBivmZUzZ93VAHMEj4lug
