My story

Say hello to Miss Hattie! This adorable 5 yr old, 32 lb sweetheart has a looong body and short legs, but the best personality you could ask for. She was surrendered to us labeled as a Basset mix when the owner became homeless, but we think she might be a PBGV mix. She has a big bark when she decides to bark but always pipes back down quickly. Hattie is working on potty training, and does pretty well if taken out regularly. She loves wandering inside and out between naps and hanging out with her foster dad who works from home. Hattie would adapt to just about any family style. She’s very tolerant and submissive to the resident dog, and just wants to be part of the family. Hattie can be happy as an only dog, or with a buddy. Unsure on cats. She was excited to meet the grandkids of her foster parents. She’s getting better at walking on leash for her daily walks, but still pulls a little. Hattie is fully vetted and vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested and on prevention, and ready to meet you! Her adoption donation is $350. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
