Suzy von Schloen is a stunning 6-month-old sable German Shepherd with the most beautiful coat. Already almost 70 pounds, she's an extra-big girl who still has some growing to do and is well on her way to becoming a gorgeous adult. Suzy is wonderful with other dogs and people. From a rural area (an urban setting can be a little overwhelming), she is housebroken and crate-trained, and while friendly with people, she has a big bark. Suzy is hoping for another dog or two in her forever home. She shines in playgroups at the rescue, where her sweet and silly personality really comes through. Happy and goofy, she enjoys exploring the yard and greets other dogs with a wagging tail. She’s very affectionate and playful, especially when she’s off leash, and she loves spending time with her canine companions. She's getting used to walking on leash, preferring to walk alongside other dogs. She's also passed cat testing. Suzy would love a home with other pets with space to explore, time to settle in, and lots of love. If you’re looking for a fun-loving young shepherd to grow with your family, Suzy might just be your perfect match! Owner surrender - too many dogs. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Suzy von Schloen YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org Application link: http://www.sheprescue.org/Application_to_Adopt_a_Dog%20Main.html Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Suzy von Schloen, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
