My story

If you’re looking for a dog with movie-star looks and a comedian’s charm, say hello to Beau! His name might mean “handsome” in French, but he’s more of a short king than a runway model—think Danny DeVito in dog form, with a whole lot of swagger. Beau’s story didn’t start off great (he was found tied up in trash bags and left behind), but he didn’t let that dim his spirit. Now, at 3 years old, this lowrider bowling ball is trotting into his next chapter with a big heart, a bigger personality, and a strut that says, “Yeah, I know I’m adorable.” Picture a sturdy little guy marching alongside his taller sisters, legs working overtime, determined to keep up. He’s basically a mini stallion on a mission — except instead of galloping majestically, he sometimes bulldozes right through your legs. Beau is equal parts snuggle bug and goofball. He’s got a signature snort when he’s excited and might drool just a little when dinner is on the way. He loves people — big and small — and while he’s good with female dogs, he can be a bit… dramatic. If he spots a new dog friend, he might let out an excited squeal that sounds suspiciously like a seal auditioning for Broadway. Don’t worry, it’s all talk — he just likes to make an entrance! After everything he’s been through, Beau is more than ready to find a family who will love him for the silly, snuggly, lowriding legend that he is. If you’re looking for a best friend who will make you laugh, keep you company, and maybe knock into your legs a few times, Beau is your guy.
