My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Natalie needs a person of her own who likes short easy walks and cuddling, those are her two favorite things to do oh, and eat! lol. Natalie truly is a real sweetheart, who just needs someone to love her in her senior years.  Natalie is also available for foster to adopt, and the Senior for senior program.     Natalie is a senior Poodle mix, estimated to be about 13 years old, but doesn’t always act like it.  She can be feisty and silly, and always seeks affection and attention.  She loves belly rubs!  When dinner time comes around she has a funny habit of chasing her tail while waiting for her dinner!  She is alert and greets visitors to the home.  She also settles down quickly and is ready to nap.  She forms a strong bond with her people and does exhibit separation anxiety when apart from her people.  Natalie is a true Velcro dog!  Natalie wants all the attention herself and should be the only pet in the home. She may be fine with one other dog in the home?, she can be picky about her doggy friends. She enjoys car rides and short walks.   Natalie is blind from advanced cataracts but navigates her environment well.  She uses her keen sense of smell to guide her and can see shadows as she can jump up on furniture .  If she bumps into something, she just changes direction and continues on her way.  She has had surgery to remove mammary masses and repair a hernia. She has recuperated well. She does have some arthritis in her back, but she jumps up on funiture just fine all on her own.    Natalie would love a home where she can enjoy her remaining years strolling through a fenced-in yard, relaxing with her humans, and just loving life. She will require daily brushing and periodic grooming to keep her coat from getting matted.  A retired person, or family that has someone home most of the time would be ideal for Natalie, as she really loves being with her human. Natalie is spayed, UTD on vaccines and is microchipped. She is most comfortable close by her humans.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 5:53 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Natalie - ADOPTED, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
